Purpose
The purpose of this blog is to enhance the "reputation" of video games by spreading awareness and to make it clear i have used minimalism to give sharp and crisp positive renforcemental points to support my claim.
Key aspect of gaming
In my opinion, having been a gamer since birth, I had a wonderful childhood interacting with technology, which has greatly benefited me in the future because it has allowed me to relate to and develop an understanding of "How" to use the technology effectively. In addition, growing up with VOIP (Voice over the internet protocol) allowed me to connect with peer groups that shared my passion and characteristics, which helped me develop my socialization skills too.
since that being said a recent study states that "Teens who plays video games believes that these games positively motivated and encouraged them" some key aspectual points being.
Problem-Solving Skills:
More than half (56%) of teenagers who play video games believe that playing games improves their capacity for problem-solving.
Collaboration & Friendships:
47% said their friendships have improved as a result of gaming.
Of those, 41% think it has improved their ability to collaborate.
Mental Health:
For 32% of people, playing video games has improved their mental state.
STUDY
Studies have looked into how playing video games affects brain activity using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). For example, Mosaila M. examined the performance of 167 teenagers and young adults in Finland on tasks involving working memory and selective attention dependent on how often they played video games. According to the findings, people who played video games more frequently had better working memory and, depending on the complexity of the task, different patterns of brain activity in frontal and parietal areas.
Fitton and colleagues examined the relationship between 128 American teens' internet use and their cognitive and psychosocial development. To learn more about how young people use technology, how at ease they are with it, and how they see it influencing their development, semi-structured interviews were done. The majority of teenagers thought that technology was vital to their life and beneficial to their development. More specifically, students can now recognize the knowledge they require and know where to look for it on their own. Their ability to think creatively and pick up new skills improved as well.
Conclusion
After doing this research i was astonished about the conceptual factors of video gaming in general apart from it being criticized for teenagers' negative aspect which is stereotypical in nature i was able to find counter entitative information to support my claim of the positive aspect of video games hence i would like to conclude that video games enhance memory, develops critical thinking and reflects in problem solving, cognitive enrichment, socialization and etc.
